Counselling Services

The Counselling Department offers a variety of services delivered by qualified practitioners. Counsellors help students to resolve issues relating to academic, career and personal concerns in a supportive and confidential environment.

Academic Counselling

Making the "right" choice about a career and learning is crucial given the high cost of education. If you are having difficulty academically, or need to develop and educational plan, consider seeing a counsellor who can assess learning problems, recommend solutions, link you with resources, and advocate on your behalf.

Career Counselling

Counsellors can assist you with decisions which impact on your program choice and career goal. If you think that you are in the wrong program or are unsure of your goal, request career counselling.

Personal Counselling

Coping with College life in addition to dealing with personal circumstances can be stressful. You can talk to a counsellor about any issue which is interfering with your academic success e.g. personal loss, depression, conflict resolution, sexual identity issues, balancing school and home, relationships, etc.

Aboriginal Counselling

Fleming’s aboriginal counsellor provides the same services as other counsellors within an aboriginal context. The aboriginal counsellor can also provide access to other resources in the community including community organizations and elders.
