A.S.I.S.T. provides practical help for caregivers seeking to prevent the immediate risk of suicide with an emphasis on helping a person at risk stay safe and seek further help. Learn how to: recognize opportunities for help, reach out and offer support, estimate the risk of suicide, apply a model for suicide intervention, and link people with community resources. The interactive program includes teaching, discussion, videos and skills practice. Attendance at the full two days is essential. Note: This course is a credit in the Management of Complex Behaviour certificate program.
