T2202A Form

The Canada Revenue Agency dictates that to be eligible for the Tuition Amount on your T2202A the fees paid to an educational institution must exceed $100.00 and courses must be at a post-secondary level. The T2202A will show the eligible fee amounts for the Tuition Tax Credit for the applicable taxation year, including tuition, alumni, information technology, student assistance, student service support fees, academic fees as well as lab and supplemental exam fees. Excluded fees are, parking, student building fund, health plan and SAC. The Full and Part-Time Education Amount is calculated based on the number of months a student is actively enrolled in an eligible course. General interest courses and workshops are not eligible to receive a form.

Reporting Errors or Obtaining Duplicates:

If there is an error on your T2202A Form, we will replace it at no charge; duplicates will cost $10.00 and take 24 hours to produce. To request a duplicate or replacement T2202A please contact: Debbie Heffernan

If your address is incorrect:

If Canada Post has a change of address on file they will forward your T2202A to your new residence. If not, your T2202A will be returned to the College in early March. We will forward any returned forms free of charge if you have provided the college with your new address.

T2202A Update

2009 T2202As have been distributed by Canada Post. If your home address was not corrected on the student portal before January 15, 2010 please ensure it is updated now so any undeliverable mail can be redirected in the coming weeks. In order to ensure all undelivered forms have been returned, please contact the Accounting Office at extension 1858 after March 9, 2010 to request a replacement
